The XT60 is a passive floor-standing speaker that pairs a 1-inch Terylene dome tweeter with a 6.5-inch bi-laminate paper woofer. Two 6.5-inch passive bass radiators add low-frequency output. It is Hi-Res Audio certified, with a stated frequency response of 38 Hz to 40 kHz, and is described as Dolby Atmos certified and DTS:X compatible.

The cabinet is low-resonance, braced MDF intended to isolate the woofer and tweeter from unwanted resonances. Removable, precision-fit grilles are fitted. The crossover point is 2200 Hz and sensitivity is 86 dB at 1 watt / 1 metre. Recommended amplifier power is 25 to 200 watts per channel.

Connection is through one pair of 5-way nickel-plated binding posts, and the speaker works with 4- and 8-ohm amplifier outputs. It can be used as front left and right speakers, or as side or rear surrounds in a home theater. Mounting options listed are a 1/4"-20 threaded insert or a keyhole hanger.
