The Monitor XT30 is a passive center channel loudspeaker designed to carry dialogue and front-stage effects in a surround sound system. It pairs two 5.25-inch bi-laminate paper woofers with a 1-inch Terylene dome tweeter in a low-resonance rear-ported cabinet, and the tweeter extends the response up to 40 kHz for Hi-Res Audio playback.

The speaker is rated for 55 Hz to 40,000 Hz total frequency response with a sensitivity of 89 dB SPL at 1 watt and 1 meter. The crossover sits at 2500 Hz, and the recommended amplifier power is 30 to 200 watts per channel. It is compatible with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X enabled AV receivers and with 4-ohm and 8-ohm amplifiers, so no specialised equipment is needed.

Connection is through a single pair of nickel-plated 5-way binding posts on the rear. The cabinet is finished in matte black and measures 19.9 in wide, 6.5 in high and 8.13 in deep, weighing 13 lb.
