XB2S-A
The XB2S-A is a stand-alone active subwoofer: the single-driver cabinet from PMC's IB2S XBD-A twin-box system, fitted with a 10-inch driver and a built-in amplifier. It suits studios that need a dedicated channel for .1 LFE monitoring alongside IB2S-A or twotwo series systems.

The XB2S-A takes the cabinet and 10-inch piston driver used in the IB2S XBD-A twin-box monitoring system and offers it as an independent active sub. It is intended for monitoring the .1 effects channel in setups built around IB2S-A or twotwo series monitors, and it reproduces low frequencies down to 20Hz.
The driver is a 250mm (10") PMC carbon fibre/Nomex piston unit, loaded by PMC's ATL bass-loading design and powered by a DSP-controlled Class-D amplifier rated at 565W in the description and 800Wrms in the specifications. The unit carries the same connectivity as the IB2S-A, including a digital input that accepts 32-192kHz.
Inputs are balanced analogue and AES3 digital, each with a main and an LFE path and a through connection. The analogue input sensitivity can be selected between +4dB and +20dB. The cabinet measures 745 x 330 x 520mm and weighs 46.5kg. A 20-year warranty applies when the new product is registered within 10 days of purchase, subject to terms.
