wafer1-iw

The wafer1-iw is the smaller of two in-wall models in a range that complements the on-wall wafer series. It uses an ultra-shallow, folded internal chamber lined with acoustic treatment, which extends the bass response beyond what a conventional box of this size would give and keeps rear leakage low, so no back box or cavity treatment is needed.

Two 27 mm soft-dome tweeters work with image-steering techniques so the speaker can be mounted above or below ear level without losing performance. A structured, absorbent baffle surface limits reflections from the front panel and the surrounding wall or ceiling. The speaker sits almost flush in a wall or ceiling, and the slim grille and frame can be painted to match the room.

Connection is by one pair of sprung terminals that also accept 4 mm sockets. Nominal impedance is 8 ohms. A mounting template, manual, drawing and brochure are offered as downloads. Registering the product within 10 days of purchase extends the warranty to 20 years, subject to terms.
