The wafer1 is the smaller of the two models in the wafer series, an on-wall loudspeaker meant for installations where a low-profile look matters but sound quality should not suffer. It can sit alongside a high-resolution display for a home cinema setup or serve as a compact stereo pair.
It combines a 140mm (5.5") low-frequency driver with two 27mm soft dome high-frequency units. Bass loading uses PMC's Advanced Transmission Line (ATL) approach rather than a ported or sealed box, aimed at deeper bass from a small cabinet. The series also uses TT Technology, Stealth Baffle and H-Line ATL. Frequency response is 50Hz to 25kHz, sensitivity is 87dB (1W, 1m) and nominal impedance is 8 ohms.
Connection is by a single pair of 4mm sockets, and the recommended amplifier power is 20 to 150W. The cabinet measures 500mm high, 235mm wide and 100mm deep and weighs 5kg.
