The twenty5.sub is a slender active subwoofer that uses two 6.5-inch (170mm) long-throw bass drivers with g-weave cones and cast alloy chassis. They are loaded by an Advanced Transmission Line (ATL) with an effective length of 3m, combined with Laminair venting technology, and driven by Class-D amplification derived from PMC's professional electronics. It is rated to reproduce frequencies down to 22Hz.
User-adjustable EQ and filter controls let the sub be matched to the room and to the speakers it accompanies. It can be added to a stereo system as well as a cinema setup. With the compact twenty5.21 or twenty5.22 speakers, the sub takes over the low frequencies so the main speakers can concentrate on the mid-range, giving results approaching those of the three-way twenty5.26.
Input is via a pair of balanced XLR connectors (left and right), with an RCA unbalanced adapter supplied. A 20-year warranty applies when the product is registered within 10 days of purchase, subject to terms.
