The twenty5.26i is a floorstanding three-way loudspeaker. A 6.5" long-throw bass driver, a 50mm chambered soft-dome mid-range and a 19mm fabric soft-dome tweeter each cover their own part of the spectrum, with crossover points at 400Hz and 4kHz. The separate mid-range driver is intended to keep vocals and other mid-band detail clear.
Bass is handled by PMC's Advanced Transmission Line (ATL) loading, with an effective line length of 3.3m. The tweeter uses a SONOMEX fabric dome, is ferrofluid cooled and has a dispersion grille. Quoted frequency response runs from 27Hz to 25kHz, with 86dB sensitivity and an 8 ohm impedance. The speaker suits amplifiers rated from 15 to 300W.
Connection is through one pair of 4mm binding posts. The cabinet is 1040mm tall and weighs 25kg each, and it stands on spikes with plinth bars for stability. Registering the product within 10 days of purchase extends the warranty to 20 years, subject to terms.
