The twenty5.26 is the largest model in the PMC twenty5 series. It is a three-way floorstanding design that pairs a long-throw 170mm bass driver with a dedicated 50mm dome mid-range and a 27mm fabric soft-dome tweeter. The bass section works with an Advanced Transmission Line, which has an effective length of 3.3m, so the cabinet reaches down to 27Hz.
The bass cone is a g-weave unit on a cast alloy chassis. The tweeter is a PMC/SEAS design with a SONOLEX fabric dome and ferrofluid cooling. Crossover points are set at 400Hz and 4kHz. The speaker has an 8 ohm impedance and a sensitivity of 86dB, and the listed amplifier power range is 30 to 300W.
Connection is through one pair of 4mm binding posts. Each speaker stands 1040mm tall, not counting the 20mm spikes, and weighs 25kg. Registering the product within 10 days of purchase extends the warranty to 20 years, subject to terms. The model is listed in the maker's archive.
