The twenty5.24 is a floorstanding two-way speaker that sits at the top of the two-way models in the twenty5 series. It pairs a 170mm long-throw bass driver with a 27mm soft-dome tweeter and uses PMC's Advanced Transmission Line (ATL) bass loading, which is intended to give deeper bass from a smaller cabinet than a ported or sealed design. The ATL path is 3m long.
The bass driver has a g-weave cone on a cast alloy chassis. The tweeter is a PMC/SEAS unit with a Sonolex fabric dome and ferrofluid cooling. The crossover point is 1.8kHz. Frequency response is stated as 27Hz to 25kHz, sensitivity is 89dB (1W, 1m) and nominal impedance is 8 ohms, with a recommended amplifier power of 30 to 200W.
The speaker connects to an amplifier through one pair of 4mm binding posts. The cabinet is 1015mm tall (plus 20mm spikes) and weighs 23kg each.
