The TB2S+ is a passive two-way monitor that uses Advanced Transmission Line (ATL) bass loading rather than a ported or sealed cabinet. It pairs a 170mm doped alloy-chassis bass driver with a 27mm ferrofluid-cooled silk soft dome tweeter, crossing over at 2kHz. Compared with the smaller DB1S+, it offers higher maximum SPL and deeper, better-defined bass, which makes it suitable for larger listening spaces.
This '+' revision brings changes to the tweeter, the crossover and the damping inside the transmission line. The monitor can be stand-mounted or bridge-mounted, and it can be combined with the TLE1S active sub bass unit to form a surround monitoring system.
Connection is through two pairs of 4mm sockets, allowing either bi-wiring or bi-amping. The speaker has an 8 ohm nominal impedance, 90dB sensitivity and a recommended amplifier power of 40-150W. A 20 year warranty is available when the product is registered within 10 days of purchase, subject to terms.
