prophecyC

The prophecy.c is a centre-channel speaker built around two 125mm mid/bass drive units and one 27mm soft dome tweeter. Its bass loading is an Advanced Transmission Line with an effective length of 1.79m, and the two mid/bass drivers are placed at different points along the folded line. This arrangement is intended to reduce colouration in the vocal range, which matters for dialogue, and to help the mid/bass drivers blend with the treble unit.

The cabinet uses front-venting LaminairX technology, which allows the speaker to be placed close to a wall. The speaker is described as capable of working as a full-range loudspeaker in its own right, as well as forming part of a multichannel setup alongside other prophecy models. Frequency response is 50Hz to 20kHz (-3dB), sensitivity is 91.5dB and the nominal impedance is 4 ohms.

Connection is through one pair of 4mm binding posts finished in satin nickel. Recommended amplifier power is 20 to 200W. A brochure, a quick set-up guide for passive speakers and an outer dimensions drawing are available as downloads.
