The PMC15 SUB is a standalone low-frequency subwoofer that uses the same ATL (Advanced Transmission Line) cabinet with Laminair airflow venting as the full-range PMC15, but without the tweeter and midrange drivers. Its single driver is an in-house 15-inch unit with double-stacked magnets, a three-inch three-layer voice coil and a stable suspension, designed to keep motor force linear over a long excursion.
Power and control come from a rack-mountable master36 DSP/amplifier unit that supplies 2000W of Class-D amplification to the driver. The DSP includes high- and low-pass filters tuned to this driver, excursion limiting for protection and room-optimisation EQ.
The system takes analogue and digital inputs, with digital up to 192kHz. It is set up over a standard LAN connection through the browser-based SoundAlign2 interface. The cabinet can be used in vertical or horizontal system variants.
