Active reference subwoofer with four 10-inch bass drivers in an ATL cabinet. It works as a standalone sub for a PMC monitoring system or as the second cabinet that turns a PMC10-4 into a twin-cabinet PMC10-4 XBD system, for professional studios.

The PMC10-4 SUB is a 1-way active low-frequency cabinet using Advanced Transmission Line loading with Laminair airflow venting. It carries four custom-designed 10-inch long-excursion bass drivers, aimed at low distortion across a wide bandwidth at all monitoring levels. The ATL path has an effective length of 4 m (13.1 ft).
It can be used in two ways. As an additional cabinet for a PMC10-4 it forms the PMC10-4 XBD system, powered by two power20 amplifiers and controlled by the existing master36. As a standalone sub, a master36 DSP/amplifier drives two of the bass drivers at 1,000 W each, and a linked power20 amplifier drives the other pair at 1,000 W each. Total power per cabinet is 4 kW. Both electronics packages use Class-D amplification.
The master36 DSP provides excursion limiting, room-optimisation EQ and high- and low-pass filters matched to this cabinet. It accepts analogue and digital inputs (up to 192 kHz) and is controlled over a standard LAN through the browser-based SoundAlign2 interface. An illuminated front-panel logo shows system status.
