IB2S XBD-AII
The IB2S XBD-AII is a three-way, twin-cabinet active reference monitor from PMC with ATL bass loading and separate active electronics. It is aimed at high-end reference monitoring and mastering in larger rooms that need extra low-frequency headroom.

The system pairs a main three-way cabinet with a single-driver XBD bass cabinet, which adds 3dB of low-frequency headroom for a smoother response and for driving larger rooms. Both cabinets use identical ATL bass loading, and the two 10-inch carbon-fibre/Nomex piston drivers are the same as those in the QB1 monitor. Mid-range comes from a hand-built 75mm fabric-dome driver and the top end from a 34mm soft-dome tweeter. Amplification is PMC's own, with 275W for the HF, 550W for the MF and 2400W for the bass drivers.
The active electronics sit in a separate unit from the cabinets, which makes soffit mounting and control easier. Cabinets can be mounted vertically or side by side. Dedicated vertical and horizontal centre channel versions and optional 190mm high-mass spacers are available.
Inputs are balanced analogue and AES digital (up to 96kHz, 24-bit), each for main and LFE, with through connectors. An RJ45-connected remote provides three user presets, HF and LF shelving filters, ±8dB input trim and analogue input sensitivity adjustment from +4dB to +16dB.
