The DS-001 is a small Class D power amplifier rated at 200W into 8 ohms. It uses a single feedback loop circuit that senses the speaker load and adjusts the response, which keeps output impedance low and the frequency curve flat under different loads. The amplifier stage is 92% efficient, and both the amplifier and its power supply are designed for very low radiated and conducted EMI, which suits low-noise environments.
The compact case can be used free-standing, rack mounted, wall mounted or fixed to a speaker. An optional rack mount kit holds up to eight channels. It is also the upgraded amplifier used in the DB1S-A II and TB2S-A II ATL nearfield monitors, raising their power from 100W to 200W. The power supply includes over-current protection and large electrolytic buffer capacitors for dynamic headroom.
Audio comes in on a balanced XLR connector and leaves through a Neutrik SpeakON NL4 speaker output. Mains power is via an IEC inlet, and the unit is offered in 230V and 115V versions. A front-panel gain control covers roughly 16 to 33 dB with a centre detent at 22 dB.
