The ci140sub is a passive on-wall subwoofer that pairs with the ci140 loudspeaker and shares its cabinet size. It uses the same four 133mm (5.25") natural fibre LTx bass drive units as the ci140, loaded by PMC's Advanced Transmission Line (ATL), with an effective ATL length of 2.3m. Its role is to add low-frequency energy to a ci140 system, which suits immersive monitoring rooms.
Frequency response is 32Hz (-3dB) and 29Hz (-6dB), with a sensitivity of 93dB (2.83V @ 1m) and a 4 ohm impedance. Connection is by one pair of 4mm sockets. The cabinet is 1400mm tall, 300mm wide and 153mm deep, and weighs 25.5kg with the grille.
Mounting is on-wall only, using the supplied interlocking bracket, which allows fine level adjustment. Unlike most of the ci series, the ci140 and ci140sub cannot be mounted in-wall. The grille is perforated with magnetic fixings and is finished in white silk, with black silk available as an option. An optional BRKT wall bracket allows the cabinet to be angled vertically and horizontally.
