BST
Passive 15-inch subwoofer with a 4-ohm impedance and an Advanced Transmission Line cabinet, made to sit under PMC QB1 or QB1XBD main monitors. It suits large two-channel, multichannel and cinema-grade monitoring rooms that need deep, high-SPL bass and need an external amplifier.

The BST is a passive subwoofer built around a 15-inch drive unit with a 7.4-inch voice coil. The cabinet uses an Advanced Transmission Line with an effective length of 4.3 m, extending response down to 17 Hz. The driver allows excursion of ±20 mm linear and ±40 mm mechanical, and the unit is rated for 2500 W RMS continuous power. Maximum continuous SPL is 120 dB, measured in half space.
The vent exit carries Laminair X airflow control, which is intended to reduce turbulence and air noise and lower harmonic distortion by up to 3 dB. The front, top, bottom and back baffles are 36 mm thick, and the side panels are braced by the transmission-line structure. Extra-long Laminair X fins ahead of the vent exit add further reinforcement.
Being passive, the BST needs a separate amplifier delivering around 2500 W RMS continuous into 4 ohms. It can be used freestanding, in-wall or soffit-mounted, and works with two-channel or multichannel PMC systems. A line drawing is available as a download.
