BB6 XBD-A

The BB6 XBD-A is a large active midfield/main monitor built as two stacked or side-by-side cabinets. It uses Advanced Transmission Line (ATL) bass loading with an effective line length of 2 x 4 m, and combines two 380 mm Radial low-frequency drivers with a 75 mm soft-dome midrange and a 34 mm soft-dome tweeter. Frequency response runs from 17 Hz to 25 kHz, with a peak SPL of 131 dB at 1 m.

Each channel has its own onboard amplification: 2 x 2400 W for the low frequencies, 550 W for the midrange and 275 W for the tweeter, totalling 5625 W per channel. Crossover points are at 380 Hz and 3.8 kHz. Dedicated LFE inputs and the extended low-end response mean separate subwoofers are not required in multichannel setups, and a matching centre version, the BB6 XBD-C-A, is available.

The twin cabinets can be freestanding or soffit-mounted, placed side by side or vertically. Standing vertically on the floor, the system reaches about 2.08 m in height. Audio input is digital AES3 at 24-bit / 96 kHz, and the input sensitivity is adjustable.
