The Active twenty5.24i is the largest model in the Active twenty5i series. It is a two-way design with a 6.5-inch long-throw g-weave mid/bass driver and a 19mm Sonomex fabric soft dome tweeter, crossing over at 1.9kHz. An active crossover feeds each driver from its own amplification, with 200W of internal power per speaker.
Bass is handled by PMC's Advanced Transmission Line (ATL) loading, which has an effective length of 3m. The cabinet is a tall, narrow floorstander that stands 1015mm high, plus 20mm spikes, and weighs 23.15kg. Frequency response is stated as 27Hz to 25kHz.
Inputs are balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA with an input impedance above 14kΩ. Sensitivity has a low and a high setting. Because the amplification is built in, the speakers need only a preamplifier or a network player with volume control as a source. A 20-year warranty is available if the product is registered within 10 days of purchase.
