Cur síos

IO-Lights reads the light in its surroundings with a high-resolution sensor placed in the middle of the unit and converts the readings into MIDI control change (CC) or MIDI note messages. Moving a hand, a torch or a lamp over the sensor can therefore shape parameters in a synth, DAW or other MIDI-capable gear.

The flow also works in the other direction. MIDI notes sent to the device are shown as light on its ring of 12 LEDs, so it can serve as a visual indicator or light display driven by a sequencer or keyboard.

Settings and firmware updates are handled through a web-based tool called IO-App, so no separate software installation is described. The unit weighs about 50 g.
