The HDJ-700 is a pair of closed, on-ear DJ headphones built around 40 mm driver units with rare earth magnets. Narrow ear pads provide sound insulation, while a 19 µm diaphragm and a copper-clad aluminium wire voice coil are used to reproduce kicks and snares. The tuning emphasises clear mid and low frequencies for dance music.
The frame uses a rigid stainless steel headband and spin-finished aluminium hinges, with soft textured polyurethane ear cups for a snug fit during long sets. The right earpiece rotates up to 60 degrees for monitoring with one ear, and a grip on the cup helps return it to its original position.
Two side-mount cords can be swapped: a 1.2 m coiled cord that extends to 3 m, and a 1 m straight cord. The headphones are offered in black, gold, red and white.
