The DDJ-SX3 is a four-channel controller for Serato DJ Pro that keeps the familiar layout of the DDJ-SX2 and Pioneer DJ's flagship Serato controllers. The jog wheels have reduced latency for scratching and show illuminated cue point markers with a cue countdown. Large multicoloured pads trigger 11 Serato DJ Pro functions, and their colours change with the selected pad mode and playback status.
Three microphone inputs let several speakers or singers work at once. Each has a 3-band EQ, low-cut filter, compressor and reverb control, and vocals can be treated with Sound Colour FX or Serato DJ Pro FX. Sound Colour FX offers Filter, Echo, Jet and Noise. Slip mode keeps a muted track running during loops, scratches or reversing.
Two USB ports connect two computers at once, for back-to-back sets or as a backup. The four inputs accept CDJs and analogue turntables, so the unit can also serve as a stand-alone DJ mixer. Outputs are XLR and RCA Master Out plus a TRS jack Booth Out. The Pitch 'n Time DJ and Serato Flip Expansion Packs are included, and Serato DVS is a paid upgrade.
