The CDJ-350 is a compact single-deck player that carries over several traits of Pioneer DJ's professional decks. It reads CDs and USB devices holding MP3, AAC, WAV and AIFF files, and it can also be connected to a computer to operate compatible DJ software.
For mixing, the BEAT display shows BPM, beat position and playback status at a glance, which helps with scratching and looping. BPM Lock lets one deck act as the master so other decks follow its tempo. Looping options include Beat Loop (a repeated 4-beat loop), Loop Divide (the loop played at a different rhythm) and Hot Loop (jumps back to the loop start and plays it). A one-button function sends songs to a playlist, and a resume function remembers the position of a disc that is removed and reloaded later.
The unit uses Shock-Proof Memory and a Floating Architecture for vibration resistance. rekordbox music management software is bundled for analysing track BPM and preparing sets; controlling rekordbox from a PC/Mac requires the rekordbox Core plan or above. Firmware updates (latest listed Ver.1.14) are available.
