The CDJ-2000NXS2 is the successor to the CDJ-2000NXS. It adds a larger full-colour touch screen with a Qwerty keyboard for keyword search and a track filter mode, so tracks can be found faster during a set. The screen shows Wave Zoom, Needle Countdown and Phase Meter.
The audio side uses a 96 kHz/24-bit sound card, a 32-bit D/A converter and a separate analogue power supply to keep noise low. It plays FLAC and Apple Lossless alongside MP3, WAV, AAC and AIFF. Performance tools include two banks of four colour-illuminated Hot Cues, Quantize against the rekordbox beat grid, Quantized Beat Jump of 1, 2, 4, 8 or 16 beats, Memory Cues and a three-position lever for Slip Reverse, Forward and Reverse.
Up to four players or laptops can be linked over LAN with Pro DJ Link. The player offers USB-HID control of TRAKTOR PRO 4, Serato DJ Pro and djay Pro without a control disc. DVS use needs the rekordbox Core plan or above, and the DDJ-SP1 can be added over USB to control up to four players.
