Panasonic S1R II

The S1R II is a full-frame mirrorless camera built around a 44.3MP sensor and a new processing engine. It handles high-resolution stills, including a handheld high-resolution mode, and burst shooting at up to 40 fps with continuous autofocus. Autofocus is a phase hybrid system with AI-based subject recognition, which includes an urban sports mode added in firmware 1.2.

For video, the camera records 8K and supports Open Gate capture, with 8.1K (3:2) Open Gate and RAW video available over HDMI for external recording. Wide-dynamic-range log recording, a False Color function and compatibility with the LUMIX Flow app support video production. 32-bit float audio recording is possible with the optional DMW-XLR2 microphone adaptor. The 8.0-stop 5-axis stabilization includes an Active I.S. mode and a cropless option for wide-angle lenses.

The body has a tilt and free-angle rear monitor and an OLED viewfinder of about 5,760k dots. Slot 1 takes CFexpress Type B cards, and direct recording to a USB-SSD is supported. It works with LUMIX Lab, Capture One and Frame.io Camera to Cloud, and is specified to operate from -14°F to 104°F.
