Concorde Music Black LVB 250

The Concorde Music Black LVB 250 is a moving magnet cartridge that sits above the Concorde Music Bronze in the range. It pairs a nude Shibata diamond stylus with a stiff, lightweight boron cantilever. The narrow, long Shibata contact shape is described as close to the original cutting stylus, aiming at low distortion and extended frequency range.

The generator uses a quad-coil layout with four split pole pins and silver-plated oxygen-free copper wire, giving a 6 mV output at 1 kHz. The stylus is held by a rubber suspension compound that Ortofon develops and produces in its own rubber facility. The body is polymer and brass in black, and the cartridge weighs 18 g.

Mounting uses the Concorde bayonet connector, so no tools or screws are needed, and it fits S-shaped tonearms. A stylus brush and a rubber ring are supplied; the ring helps prevent overtightening and keeps the cartridge seated firmly against the tonearm. The recommended load is 47 kΩ with 150-300 pF capacitance.
