The 2M Black Verso is a moving-magnet phono cartridge from the 2M series, made for turntables with headshells that mount from underneath. It is the top model of the range and pairs a Nude Shibata diamond stylus with an aluminium cantilever. The slim, polished stylus profile gives a wide contact area with the groove walls.
The motor uses Ortofon's split pole pin design, upgraded with silver-plated copper coil wire. The 2M series is designed to fit the most common turntables in weight and size. The Verso variant uses a removable top plate, and the two M2.0 mm screws can be swapped in by following a step-by-step replacement guide. A Torx 8 key and a mounting tool are part of the process.
The cartridge weighs 7.2 g and is rated for a tracking force of 1.4-1.7 g, with 1.5 g recommended. It works with a standard moving-magnet phono input, with a recommended load of 47 kOhm and 150-300 pF. A downloadable user guide is available.
