Beskrivelse

The OB-6 is a six-voice analog polysynth that combines a sound engine inspired by the original Oberheim SEM with modern features. Each voice has two discrete voltage-controlled oscillators plus a sub-oscillator, a 2-pole state-variable filter (low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, notch) and a voltage-controlled amplifier. X-Mod routes the filter envelope or oscillator 2 to oscillator 1 and filter destinations for more unconventional tones.

Playing and programming tools include a polyphonic step sequencer (up to 64 steps, up to 6 notes per step), an arpeggiator, unison mode with chord memory, polyphonic portamento and a knob-per-function panel. A Manual switch makes the panel live. Memory holds 500 factory and 500 user programs. The dual effects section offers reverbs, delays (including bucket-brigade emulation), chorus, flangers, phase shifter and ring modulator, with true bypass for an analog path.

The four-octave semi-weighted keyboard responds to velocity and channel aftertouch. Connections are stereo 1/4" outputs, a headphone output, MIDI In/Out/Thru, USB MIDI, pedal and footswitch inputs, and an internal power supply with an IEC inlet.
