Description
The pedal digitally recreates the behaviour of a tape echo unit with a capstan-driven tape loop and a parallel spring reverb. It offers seven playback-head combinations plus a reverb-only setting, selected with the Select knob. Time, Repeat, Level, Reverb, Bass and Treble controls cover the main settings, and a short press of the Select knob opens the alternate layer with Saturation, Wow, Flutter, Kill Dry and Exp.
Time can be shown in milliseconds or in BPM with sub-division, and a tap tempo footswitch sets the delay time, up to 1600 ms. Holding the On footswitch produces self-feedback and self-oscillation. Pressing On and Tap together enters SOS mode, a 40-second stereo phrase looper with record, play and dub on the On footswitch, and an OLED display shows its status.
MIDI In and Out are available through the supplied 3.5 mm TRS/MIDI adaptors, and an editor application lets the user assign MIDI settings. Firmware updates are provided for macOS and Windows. The pedal runs from a 9V DC supply.
