The MG-300 MKII combines amp modeling, impulse-response cabinet simulation and a full effects set in one pedal-format unit. Blocks can be reordered freely in the signal chain, and a Patch Level block can sit anywhere in the routing. The effects list covers a noise gate, compressors, overdrive and distortion types, touch wah, EQs, modulation, delay and reverb, including a Shimmer reverb. Long-pressing the CMP, EFX or RVB block lets it change function, for example to stack two drive or delay effects.

Cabinet simulation uses 36 built-in IRs (guitar, bass and acoustic) with mic model and position choices, plus 24 user-loadable IR slots, each with level, high-cut and low-cut controls. Each preset holds three scenes, and the footswitch layout can be reassigned. The GEN2 firmware adds extra wah models, DeepImage amp models, an improved global EQ and support for up to 10 NAM profile slots. A phrase looper and a drum machine with auto tempo detection are included for practice and writing.

Connections include USB-C, which makes the unit work as an audio interface with Normal and Reamp modes, and a TRRS phones jack that also supports streaming to smartphones over USB-OTG. Sounds and IRs are managed with the QuickTone editor on macOS and Windows.
