Deskrizzjoni
The Lacerate is a small boost pedal built around a dual FET circuit. It has one level knob and two boost modes. Clean mode raises volume without colouring the tone, while Crank mode, engaged by holding the footswitch for about one second, adds a second stage with more harmonic content and up to +35 dB of gain, compared with roughly +20 dB for typical boost pedals.
An internal voltage doubler converts the 9V supply to 18V to give more headroom and dynamic range. The pedal must only be fed 9V, as the conversion happens inside. Bypass can be switched between true bypass and a buffered bypass by powering the pedal on while holding the footswitch, which suits players who like a buffer at the start of their signal chain.
The enclosure is a lightweight die-cast aluminium chassis with illuminated knobs for dark stages. Power is a 9V centre-negative DC supply drawing 75 mA. Manuals are available in English and Japanese.
