Numark iDJ Pro

The iDJ Pro is a controller built around an iPad. The tablet slides into a docking area between two capacitive touch-sensitive platters, and a latching door holds it in place. Hot cue, loop, pitch and effect controls sit on the surface, along with die-cast aluminum volume knobs. Effects can be shaped with a filter knob, an effect knob and an X/Y pad in the djay app.

It is designed for Algoriddim's djay 2 app (sold separately), which can draw on an iTunes library and Spotify, and it also integrates with the vjay app. The unit is Core MIDI-compatible. Audio can be streamed from the iPad to AirPlay or Bluetooth speakers, and iOS 6 and later supports stereo output with stereo headphone cueing at the same time. iPad 1 is not supported, and newer Lightning-connector iPads need Apple's 30-pin to Lightning adapter, sold separately.

For connections, it has RCA inputs for external devices such as MP3 or CD players, a 1/4-inch microphone input, balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs, and two headphone jacks (1/4-inch and 1/8-inch) that can be used together. It runs from a 12V DC power supply.
