The Launchkey Mini 25 combines a 25-note synth-style mini keybed with 16 RGB pads that respond to velocity and polyphonic aftertouch. Eight endless encoders switch between plugin, mixer, sends and transport control, and four custom modes let users map their own assignments. A 128 x 64 monochrome OLED display shows the current mode and detected chords.
Built-in creative tools include Scale Mode with 30 scales, three chord modes (Chord Map, Fixed Chord and User Chord) and a generative arpeggiator with an 8-step editor offering tie, accent and ratchet controls. Custom scripts cover Ableton Live, Logic, Cubase, Reason, FL Studio and Ardour, with HUI support for other DAWs. In Ableton Live it adds Sequencer, Drum Rack and Clip modes. The hardware is NKS-ready, and Novation's Components software is used to build custom control surfaces.
It connects over USB-C and is bus powered, with a 3.5mm MIDI out and a 1/4" sustain pedal input. A software bundle is included, with Ableton Live Lite, Cubase LE, Novation Play, and instruments and effects from Klevgrand, GForce, Native Instruments and Orchestral Tools, plus Melodics lessons.
