Deskrizzjoni

The U 67 Set is a reissue of the tube condenser microphone first introduced in 1960. It is built to the original documentation and uses the same K 67 capsule and electronic design as the microphones made from 1960 to 1971. The output transformer is the BV 12, reproduced to original specification, and the EF86 tubes are selected for low noise in a dedicated measurement facility.

The microphone offers omnidirectional, cardioid and figure-8 patterns, plus a switchable low cut filter to counter proximity effect at close distances and a pre-attenuation (pad) switch. With pre-attenuation it handles up to 124 dB SPL at 0.5% THD. A pre-emphasis/de-emphasis scheme in the tube circuit keeps tube noise low. It is suited to male and female vocals and to strings, woodwinds, brass, piano, drums, guitars and bass.

The microphone connects to the supplied NU 67 V power supply through a connection cable (7-pin on the microphone side). The power supply adapts automatically to local mains voltage and works with older U 67 microphones. The set is handmade in Germany and comes in a vintage case with a shock mount.
