RSM 190i
The RSM 190 i is a historical Neumann stereo shotgun microphone working on the mid/side principle. It was aimed at stereo recording of sound sources at a distance, combining a directional mid signal with a sideways-facing figure-8 side signal.

The RSM 190 i is a stereo shotgun microphone from Neumann's historical range. It is built on the mid/side technique: a shotgun section supplies the mid (M) component, while a second capsule system with a figure-8 pattern supplies the side (S) component.
The figure-8 capsule system is mounted at an angle of 90 degrees to the shotgun part, so the two signals together describe a stereo image that can be decoded into left and right channels. The mid/side approach also allows the stereo width to be adjusted after recording.
The product is listed as a historical model, so it is no longer part of Neumann's current line-up. The available information describes its concept and capsule layout only; further technical data, accessories and ordering details are on separate tabs that are not reproduced here.
