KMS 104 plus
The KMS 104 plus is a handheld cardioid vocal microphone for stage use that pairs a Neumann condenser capsule with a rugged steel-grille body. Compared with the KMS 104, it has a fuller low register, and it suits vocalists and close-miked stage instruments.

The KMS 104 plus is a wired condenser microphone built for live vocals. It uses a pressure-gradient capsule with a tight cardioid pattern, which keeps off-axis coloration low and allows high gain before feedback. A fixed low-cut filter compensates for proximity effect when the microphone is held close, and an internal pop screen inside a hardened steel headgrille protects against plosives and moisture.
The voicing differs from the standard KMS 104 by adding emphasis in the 100–150 Hz region, giving voices more weight and warmth. It handles sound pressure levels up to 150 dB. Beyond vocals, it can be used on percussion, brass, saxophone, harmonica, acoustic guitar and guitar cabinets, as well as for home recording and broadcast work.
It connects through a transformerless balanced output on an XLR connector and needs 48 V phantom power. The low 50 ohm output impedance allows cable runs of up to 300 m. It comes in nickel or black finishes, with a stand clamp and padded nylon bag.
