The KH 810 is a ported, wood-cabinet subwoofer built around a 265 mm long-throw woofer with a composite sandwich cone and magnetic shielding. The free-field response runs from 18 Hz (±3 dB), and the unit reaches a bass-capability maximum of 110.7 dB SPL at 1 m. A front-mounted port allows placement against a wall or flush mounting.
A built-in 7.1 bass manager can be bypassed, with a fourth-order 80 Hz crossover for compatibility with consumer formats from mono to 7.1. Eight analog channels, LFE gain of 0 or +10 dB and four LFE routing modes cover different system layouts. Controls include input gain, output level, an 8-position phase switch with test tone, a continuous low cut, a bypassable parametric EQ, a volume control and ground lift.
Inputs and outputs are electronically balanced XLR. A daisy-chain output and a sum output allow larger systems and Plane Wave Bass Array setups. It can be controlled with the NRC 1 hardware remote, with SEA 1 adapter and RS-232 control also listed. The optional REK 3 kit lets the electronics be located remotely. A universal 100–240 V power supply and a trigger input for remote power-on are included.
