The Z140SE is a small hot-shoe flash with a guide number of GN15 (ISO 100, meters) and 13Ws of power. Output is adjustable from 1/128 to 1/1 in manual mode, and the unit can also fire as an optical slave in S1 or S2 mode. A 0.7W 6500K modeling light is included for judging shadows and detail before shooting.
Settings are shown on a digital tube display and changed with buttons. The flash head tilts from -10° to 90°, which allows bounced light. The recycle time is about 1.5 seconds, and the built-in 7.4V 600mAh polymer lithium battery is rated at about 650 full-power flashes.
The flash charges through a USB Type-C port and can be used while charging. It attaches by a single-contact hot shoe, so it only works with cameras that have a center contact. It is aimed at Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm and Sony hot-shoe bodies. It weighs 155 g.
