The Q3 is a 200Ws portable flash that weighs 626 g without its battery. It offers three modes: TTL, manual and multi (stroboscopic). Flash exposure compensation is supported, and high-speed sync reaches 1/8000 s. Manual power covers an 8-stop range from 1/1 to 1/128 in 1/3-stop steps, with first and second curtain sync. Colour temperature is held at 5600±200K across the power range.
Power comes from a removable 14.4V 3200mAh lithium battery, rated for about 500 full-power flashes, with recycling times of 0.01–1.8 s. Cooling vents on both sides guard against overheating. Stroboscopic output goes up to 90 flashes at 99 Hz, and optical slave modes S1 and S2 are available.
The flash has a built-in 2.4 GHz radio system with 32 channels and 5 groups, controlled from QPRO-C, QPRO-S or QPRO-N triggers or Q-C/N/S transmitters (sold separately) at up to 100 m. It also has a 3.5mm sync jack and a USB-C port for firmware updates. Canon E-TTL, Nikon i-TTL and Sony TTL cameras are supported, and firmware can be updated if a compatibility problem occurs.
