The T 748 v2 is a seven-channel A/V receiver for home cinema and stereo listening. In stereo it is rated at 2 x 80W (FTC), rising to 2 x 110W into 8 ohms and 2 x 160W into 4 ohms on the maker's measurements. With all seven channels driven at once it delivers 7 x 40W.
Measured performance includes total harmonic distortion and intermodulation distortion below 0.08% at rated power, a damping factor above 60 at 8 ohms and a signal-to-noise ratio above 100dB (A-weighted). Line input sensitivity is 250mV into 47 kilohms, and frequency response is flat within ±0.5dB from 20Hz to 20kHz.
An onboard tuner covers FM from 87.50MHz to 108.00MHz with RDS decoding, plus AM from 520kHz to 1710kHz on the 120V version. Separate software downloads exist for European and US versions, and the product is supplied with the AVR 5 remote control, for which a guide is available. The unit weighs 11.5kg and is documented in manuals in several languages.
