The M33 V2 is an integrated amplifier built around second-generation Eigentakt amplification, rated at more than 200 W per channel into 8 ohms and more than 380 W into 4 ohms. It can be bridged with an M23 V2 power amplifier for more than 700 W into 8 ohms. Conversion is handled by an ESS ES9039PRO DAC with a matching ADC stage, supported by FOQUS and QRONO timing technologies from MQA Labs.
As a streamer it runs BluOS, which provides multi-room playback, a wide list of music services and internet radio, and control through the BluOS Controller app. AirPlay 2, aptX HD Bluetooth (receive and headphone modes) and Roon are also supported. A 7-inch colour touchscreen and an SRM 1 remote handle everyday control. The unit includes an MM/MC phono stage, HDMI eARC, balanced XLR connections and two subwoofer outputs with adjustable crossovers.
Room correction is covered by a Dirac Live Limited Bandwidth licence (up to 500 Hz) and a calibration microphone; a Bass Control licence can be added separately. Two MDC slots allow the unit to take future modules.
