The CI 720 is a single-zone stereo amplifier that uses HybridDigital amplification and is rated at 2 x 60W. Its narrow 'Blade' chassis is 3U high, so up to six units can share one rack space. A thermostatic fan handles cooling, and a universal power supply accepts 100 to 240V mains.
It plays files and streams over the network, supporting formats such as MP3, AAC, FLAC, ALAC, WAV, AIFF and MQA, along with a range of cloud music and internet radio services. Local sources can be fed in through an analogue RCA input, an optical digital input or a USB Type A port for a memory stick. A subwoofer output is provided for adding a sub.
The amplifier connects to the network over a Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 port and uses standard network protocols. Speakers attach through a Phoenix connection block, and an IR input takes a 3.5 mm jack. Drivers are available for Control4, RTI, Crestron, URC and roon integration. The model is listed as archived and no longer for sale.
