The CI 720 V2 combines a BluOS streaming player and a stereo amplifier in one slim blade chassis. It drives a single stereo zone at 2 x 60 W with HybridDigital amplification, so each room needs no separate power amp. Up to six units fit side by side in 3U of rack space, which suits whole-home and light commercial multi-room installations.
BluOS provides streaming from cloud services, internet radio and local music libraries. Each zone can be controlled on its own or grouped for synchronised playback. Supported file formats include FLAC, ALAC, WAV, AIFF, MQA and HRA, with sample rates from 32 to 192 kHz and bit depths of 16 to 24.
The unit connects by wired Gigabit Ethernet and also has analogue RCA, optical digital and USB inputs, a subwoofer output, and a Phoenix block for speakers. It has a 3.5 mm IR input and uses a thermostatically controlled fan. Control and automation drivers are available for Control4, RTI, Crestron, URC, roon and Josh.ai, among others.
