The C 658 combines a network music streamer, a DAC and an all-digital preamplifier in one component. BluOS gives it access to streaming services and local music libraries, controlled from the BluOS Controller app in one room or across a multi-room setup. Playback is supported up to 32-bit/192kHz.
It includes a Dirac Live Limited Bandwidth licence and a calibration microphone for room correction up to 500Hz. The licence can be upgraded to Full Frequency, and Dirac Live Bass Control is available as an optional licence. An adjustable digital subwoofer crossover provides bass management.
For connections it has balanced and single-ended outputs, an MM phono input, and line-level and digital inputs. Two MDC slots allow optional expansion, including HDMI and USB-DSD playback. Network and wireless options are Gigabit Ethernet, dual-band Wi-Fi and two-way aptX HD Bluetooth, and a headphone output is provided.
