The C 399 is a stereo integrated amplifier built around NAD's HybridDigital nCore amplification, rated above 180 W per channel into 8 and 4 ohms. A digital front end handles optical, coaxial and HDMI eARC sources, with support for up to 24 bit/192 kHz. Analogue sources are covered by two line inputs with buffer amplifiers and a moving-magnet phono stage with an infrasonic filter.
Two MDC2 expansion slots allow the amplifier to be extended. The optional MDC2 BluOS-D module adds BluOS streaming and Dirac Live room correction (Limited Bandwidth, effective up to 500 Hz), which includes a licence and a calibration microphone. Because MDC2 is a two-way design, correction applies to all connected sources.
Outputs include two sets of speaker terminals, two subwoofer outputs and a dedicated headphone amplifier. Bluetooth with aptX HD support provides wireless playback. The chassis measures 435 x 120 x 390 mm and weighs 11.2 kg.
