The 624 is a compact audio interface offering 16 inputs and 16 outputs: two mic inputs, two guitar inputs, a 4 x 6 balanced analog section with dedicated main outs, eight channels of ADAT optical (also usable as stereo TOSLink S/PDIF) and an independent headphone output. Its converters use ESS Sabre32 Ultra DAC technology with a stated 123 dB dynamic range, and round-trip latency is quoted as low as 1.6 ms at 96 kHz over Thunderbolt and 1.9 ms over USB.

A built-in DSP mixer provides 48 input channels, 12 busses (7 stereo aux busses and 3 groups) and access to 64 network inputs. Effects include reverb, 4-band EQ, gate and compression, with the compressor modeled on the LA-2A and the EQ on British console EQs, all processed at 32-bit float precision. A matrix router sends any input to any output, including to and from the computer and other networked devices. A full-colour LCD shows metering for all analog and digital I/O.

The unit connects by Thunderbolt, USB 3.0 (class-compliant, works with iPad through a camera connection kit) or AVB/TSN Ethernet, supporting up to 256 channels (128 in, 128 out). Control is through a web app served from the hardware, usable from any browser on the same network, including the touch-oriented Touch Console. AudioDesk workstation software for Mac and Windows is included.
