UltraTracker

The UltraTracker is a stereo moving-magnet (MM) cartridge. Its generator uses two low-mass magnets arranged in a V and aligned parallel to the record groove, a layout modelled on the cutting head used to make records. The design is intended to give good tracking ability.

The body is machined from billet aluminum and is described as well damped, which helps control resonances and keep bass tight. The stylus is a nude-elliptical diamond on an aluminum cantilever, chosen for tracking complex, dynamic passages. Stated frequency response runs from 20 Hz to 25 kHz.

Electrically it is a conventional MM design: 3.5mV output into a 47kOhm load with 100pF capacitance, so it suits standard MM phono inputs. Tracking force is 1.8–2.2g and the cartridge weighs 9.7g. An owner's manual and a cartridge brochure are available as downloads.
