SourcePoint 10

The SourcePoint 10 is a two-way vented loudspeaker that uses a 10-inch paper-pulp concentric driver with a 1.25-inch wide-roll soft dome tweeter mounted in its centre. The driver uses a Twin-Drive neodymium magnet system with a symmetrical magnetic field intended to reduce intermodulation distortion. The crossover point is 1.6kHz and the stated frequency response runs from 42Hz to 30kHz.

The cabinet is built from 1-inch MDF panels with real wood veneer, a 2-inch thick faceted front baffle in satin black and two internal braces. Veneer is book-matched between the two speakers and comes in Satin Walnut or Satin Black Ash. Fabric-wrapped grilles attach magnetically and can be taken off for listening.

Sensitivity is 91dB with an 8 ohm nominal impedance, and a minimum of 30W is recommended, so the speakers can be paired with tube or transistor amplifiers. Connection is through 5-way binding posts. Each speaker weighs 21kg, and a manual and white paper are available as downloads.
