Delia

Delia

DELIA is a 49-key, 12-voice, bi-timbral hybrid polysynth with analog multi-mode filters, motorized knobs and a virtual analog and wavetable oscillator engine. It suits sound designers and players who want hands-on control with instant patch recall and morphing.

  • 49-key semi-weighted keybed with velocity and channel aftertouch
  • 6 analog voice circuits, 12-note mode
  • Analog low-pass ladder filter plus modelled digital high-pass
  • Motorized knobs for patch, layer and morph recall
  • 20-source x 40-destination modulation matrix
  • 16-step sequencer and phrase looper with overdub

Beskrivelse

DELIA combines a digital oscillator front end (virtual analog VCOs, wavetable, noise/XOR/aux, plus a Macro Oscillator mode with 45 waveform models) with six analog voice circuits. Each voice has an analog low-pass ladder filter with a three-stage overdrive and a modelled digital high-pass ladder filter. A Link mode ties the two cutoffs together for band-pass and notch operation. A 12-note mode uses 12 oscillator banks into the six filters.

The knobs are motorized, so the panel moves to show recalled presets, layers, morph settings and the active modulation amounts. A/B Morph calculates a live blend between two patches, including the whole modulation matrix, and Morph can itself be a modulation destination. The matrix offers 20 sources and 40 destinations, with three LFOs and three envelopes. Two layers give bi-timbral play, and with A/B Morph that makes four timbres.

A 16-step polyphonic sequencer and a phrase looper with overdub are built in, and both are saved with presets. Two effects processors provide delay, chorus and reverb in series or parallel. The instrument has stereo and assignable outputs, a headphone output, two audio/CV inputs, MIDI, USB host and USB-C ports, and runs open-source software on a Raspberry Pi 4 with Elk Audio OS.
