Woburn III is the largest model in the Marshall Home Line III range. It is a stereo bass-reflex speaker covering 35–20,000 Hz with a maximum sound pressure level of 100.5 dB at 1 m. Angled tweeters and updated waveguides widen the stereo image compared with earlier generations, and Dynamic Loudness adjusts the tonal balance as the volume changes.
Sound can be shaped from the top panel, which carries source, volume, bass, treble and play/pause controls plus a power switch. The Marshall Bluetooth app for iOS and Android adds further settings, including Placement Correction and Night Mode, and delivers over-the-air software updates. The speaker also works without the app.
It connects wirelessly over Bluetooth 5.2 with a 10 m range and is ready for Bluetooth LE Audio. Wired options are 3.5 mm, RCA and HDMI inputs. HDMI is meant for TV use: a speaker left on will switch on and off with the TV and follow its volume. The speaker has no Wi-Fi, microphone or voice control, and it cannot be paired with other Marshall speakers for multi-speaker use.
